Having problems with your Nikon D40x Digital Camera ?
I have small, fuzzy, gray spot in the same place on every photo. Nikon D40.
Clean your lenswith a fine lintless clothe and lens solution
I would first try to clean the lense. If that does not work, swap lenses and see if it is in fact a problem with the lense or more with the body of your d40.

My camera is producing spots, or freckle-like or shadow-like spots which are noticable on photos such as a clear blue sky photo. The spots are in the exact same place on photos even when I change to different lens. I know the mirror flips up for a photo, but to be safe, I have cleaned it, but that didn't help anything. Purchased camera 11/07.

If you have another lens, switch it and take some shots of the sky. If the spot is gone, it probably was the lens that needs cleaning/servicing. My polaroid 300 instant camera is leaving 3 distinct white spots in the exact same location on every photo taken. When you look closly at the photo, you can see the white spots are indentations on the film. I've gone through 4 rolls thinking it might be the film, but I'm beginning to think it's the camera. Any suggestions?

I have had a nikon D60 for the last 3 years.I normally use the auto setting and for the first 2 years it took beautiful photos almost every time. in the last year or so when i try to take a photo it often displays iso auto r 09 in the bottom right hand corner and won't take the photo and this doesn't appear to depend on lighting. I have Nikon D50 (11 months old) with two NIKON lenses - 18-55 (came with camera) and 70-300 (from my old Nikon F65). I have recently noted a spot appear in certain shots (mainly where sky is present) that is there in the same place whichever lens I use. Could this be a dust speck or similar on the CCD? If so, is there an easy way of cleaning the sensor? Regards Roland Zilz UK
