You have whats known as the GBLOD " Green Blinking light of DEATH! BUT its curable, and usually FREE by NIKON. You must contact your nearest NIKON WARRANTY REPAIR, ( This is a reapir that is never out of warranty time ) advise them of your model number, be ready to give the serial number of your camera and in most cases they will advise when and where to repair it, usually free. It was a NIKON Manufacturing defect in a series of earlier production cameras. It seems that the card slot poins where compressed and not soldered onto the pins in the camera.. NIKON usually gives you a repair number and instructions as to where to send the camera. I had that problem and it was fixed in 3 weeks and cost me NOTHING... they even paid for the shipping back and forth.. Good luck, my email is [email protected] let me know how you made out.

My Kodak C190 will not read the card. I cannot format it in the camera because IT WON'T READ IT IN THE CAMERA. I keep seeing the same answer - "format in the camera" - but it can't read it. Now what ? I have I tried three other cards of varying sizes - 2gb, 4gb, 8gb, and 16gb - none were able to be read. The camera works fine with its internal memory, but that doesn't hold much at all. Any help would be great - Thanks

D60: I just got back from Certified Repair group where they said the camera is "okay". The Problem: It's like the ISO has shifted, and the readings on P, S, A, even M all result in a long exposure/wide open aperture reading. Frequently the reading is such that the shutter will not release, due to no focus or wrong light amount. Frequently the focus "peep" does not go off, and so the shutter will not release. Battery life My AA 3000mah batteries don't last 30 mins before the camera switches itself off, indicating that the batteries are flat. When tested on a multimeter they read 1.24volts.
