I have new Nikon D90 with 18-105 Nikon lens. The only problem with the camera, when shooting potraits in dim light without flash, the pictures get black artefacts throughout the faces and skins. I used different lenses and reset the camera setting to the factory original, but no help. Thank you for solving the problem... Hamid Jakarta, Indonesia
This has nothing to do with the camera, but instead it has to do with the lens you are using. The standard lens you are using has an aperture of f/4.5 which is common across many lenses. If you wish to shoot in low light you need a lower "f-stop". ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens
I have a new (Dec., 2009) D90. This morning I discovered that I had an "Err" message and a "CHA" message. Both were on the LCD panel on the top of the camera. I was not able to turn the camera off, and the only way to turn it off was to take out the battery. Upon reinserting the battery, everything appeared normal, but after taking one shot the problem reappeared. The interesting thing was that I took the camera body to a Nikon certified shop in New York, and they tried it with a different lens,
The Nikon user manual says on Page 256 that the ERR message indicates a camera malfunction and to clear it, you must release the shutter. \012\012 I have found on my D-90 that I can usually release the shutter by turning the camera off and ba ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens

I'm a new user of the D90 (and digital in general), and on my first major trip with it I had problem with the shutter not working. I would take some images, put the camera down without turning it off and move on to the next spot. At the second stop the camera would not work. I'd turn it off, remove the battery, run the lens in and out and eventually it would work again. The message I got was F--, which said that the lens was not installed properly. However the lens was never removed. What's
George,Since you didn't say if this was a "new camera & lens" or if it was a "new to you" camera and lens, or which *exact* lens you have, there are a couple of ways this can work.Nikon lists the following remedy for error ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens
I used the Nikon D90 with Lens Kit 18-200 mm, and I also bought the new Lens call Nikkor 75-300mm. But when I connected the new one (Nikkor 75-300 mm) in my camera and took some pictures, after that I couldn't take more because it has F33 Error. I changed the Lens Kit that error disappeared. My problem is how to fix F33 error with Lens Nikkor 75-300mm in my camera. So, anyone know how to fix it help me please.

I have a SONY Cybershot DSC W150. When I turn it on the lens goes kut and comes back in several times, then I get the error message "Turn the Power Off and On Again", but doing that does not change anything. This is one of four digicams I own (also a Nikon D90, SONY DSC F717, and a Canon) and I like the W150 for some purposes because it is compact and has a viewfinder, not just a screen. I have been unable to find a similar camera. What can I do to fix the problem? Gerry Meisels [email protected]

I have a Nikon D90 camera with a 180 - 300 lens that I use to shoot photos of my boys playing football. I have always had crystal clear shots from the stadium. Now that my boys are playing Varsity at night my shots are blurred and I usually end up deleting most of them. Any suggestions on how to correct this problem?
Obviously, shooting the pics at night requires a longer exposure. If you haven't changed any settings from your daylight pics, then your camera is probably setting a slower shutter speed to compensate for less light in the stadium. You need to raise ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens

At times my D90 camera freezes up for seemingly no reason...battery, memory card and settings all seem fine but no action. Anyone else having this problem?
Another issue maybe your lens in not making full contact with the metal contacts, make sure the lens is tightly on, if you are still getting that error, take an erasure on a pencil and rub the metal contacts, this will clean them off. Hope this helps ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens

When I put on the D80 Nikon camer with 18-55 lens showing err 10 or 11 in small display in place of frame counter. Otherwise auto focas work, even camera klik but picture not expose then what is the problem ?
Hi nrkelkar, In the D80 manual page 36 it speaks about the buffer. What you see as an error message is r with a number. The number is how many shots the buffer at that moment can handle. It is not an error message. ... Nikon D80 Digital Camera with 18-135mm Lens
My 6 month-old Nikon D90 has been acting-up for quite some time. I take ALL my pictures at LARGE size, as they may end up in competitions or exhibition. However, without warning, the size changes occasionally to SMALL or MEDIUM, often twice, or more, in the one day. I only discover this when I notice the number of frames left has doubled or more. I had the same problem with my previous camera, a D70, which I eventually gave away to a friend.
Nikon have gone rubbish. Their 'support' people are very unlikely to respond, or be of any help, or care. My five month old D90 has gone wrong and they want to charge me more than the cost - I suspect - of its manufacture, to put it right. You g ... Nikon D90 Digital Camera with 18-105mm lens
Hi, I have two Cannon 40D Cameras and am experiencing problems with both at the moment. One Camera is very slow after pushing the button to take a photo. I have checked all of the batteries and this is not the problem. The other camera will take 4/5 shots without a problem then as I am taking the shot I feel like the camera flutters, the lcd screen shows an error symbol and says the contacts between the lens needs cleaning. When I turn the camera on and off it fixes the problem temporarily but i

3 times i've the same problem with my camera, 3 times they've sent it back. The problem still exists. A new battery, properly charged by me, the camera takes between 1 and 5 photos and then the camera goes dead. I was told by Canon that the battery lid on the camera was causing a short, they said 'Problem solved.' Nope, the problem is still there and i've run out of extended warranty. Please, please help.

Dust Orbs I am having serious problems with "Dust Orbs" appearing in pictures. Mostly indoor pictures. These things are ruining my pictures. Are they caused by the Infrared Beam that the camera uses to focus? Or is something else wrong with my camera? Do ALL digital cameras have this problem with dust? Do DSLR have same problem? How come these dust orbs only appear with Digital Cameras, and not film? I need a digital camera that works indoors. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance....
Many digital cameras have this problem, though it has nothing to do with the camera being digital. It is small specks of dust in the air being illuminated. You will never see this problem without a flash.\015\012\015\012The reason you see it on digit ... Kodak EasyShare DX7440 Digital Camera
File error very so often after clicking a few photographs the camera shows FILE ERROR . On the first review the camera displays the photograph there after the photos are lost. the only solution to the problem is to format the memory card after which it clicks a few photographs & then the same problem occurs. is it the problem of memory card or a problem with the camera
It could be either. There is not any way to tell, but if the problem is too bad I would replace the memory card first and then address the issue within the camera if it continues.\015\012\015\012David Millier\015\012Advance Camera Repair ... Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H5 Digital Camera
Camera stalling The problems started after using my camera on a windy day at the beach 3weeks ago. When I view my card in the camera, I see all my photos. When I go to down load them using different programs, besides Kodak, it shows that some of the photo are "drawing failed". Is the problem with my camera or my memory card? Also be advised that when I first got the camera (about 7 months ago), I never had any problems. This type of problem has occurred within the past two months. That is why I am not sure if it's the camera or card.
It's much more likely to be the card than the camera, but it could be either.Try removing all of the files from the card, then reformatting it. Using an external card reader to reformat would be preferable, because it removes the camera ... Kodak Easyshare Z812-IS Digital Zoom Digital Camera
