Not reconize memory card.

I have a kodak easy share c734 and i bought a 16 gig memory card and all i get is format card message.i have formated the card several times with the camera and with my computer and i still get the same message. how can i get my camera to reconize my memory card.

Put new memory card in camera but has formatting problem. When memory card is put in it says the new memory card requires formatting. When I continue it states that formatting will delete everything in memory card. Chose continue again since it is a new memory card. It then tries to format. Date and time have been reset.
