Go into menu, setup function, turn OFF "conversion lens" or anything like that. NOTE: a conversion lens is a lens that screws onto front of lens of your camera and the flash would get blocked by it, so there is a function in the menu that turns the flash off when a conversion lens is attached to the camera. If this works, STOP PLAYING AROUND WITH THE MENU TILL YOU READ THE MANUAL. LOL.

My Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 works perfectly except that the flash suddenly stopped working and yes, i have flash on, I have tried everything.
