Having problems with your Vivitar ViviCam 8400 Digital Camera ?

3v DC in

\015 I cannot obtain a power cable to enable use of this socket. However I do have a transformer which has various DC outputs one of which is 3v.It also has a number of plugs one of which fits the socket on the camera. Can you tell me if the plug tip is Positive or Negative.\015\012I have had this excellent camera for quite some time, and a power supply would be useful when in use for long periods i.e. on a PC.\015\012Hope you can help, and any advice would be appreciated.\015\012Happy New Year\015\012Laurie Stevens\015

Answers :

I have not found a solution to the problem. I did reply to your last message and said I would not bother because I can manage with batteries. I cannot see why I cannot use my transformer which has a stabilised output, how can it damage my camera. All I wanted to know was is the tip Positive or Negative on the power input to the camera.
\015\012Thanks anyway
